As a Senior Designer at Wingaru.com.au, I had the opportunity to contribute to the development of a kids educational website, a platform specifically tailored for schools, daycares, and other learning institutions. The platform focuses on teaching students about Australian Aboriginal culture and history through a variety of interactive and engaging tools.
I was responsible for designing the Teacher’s Dashboard, enabling educators to efficiently manage lesson planning and student progress. I also designed the Kids Learning Interface, which included a rich combination of educational videos, interactive learning games, easily readable informational content, and engaging quizzes, all tailored to enhance the learning experience.
Although the characters were originally designed by another illustrator, I expanded their versatility by creating additional character poses and expressions. For the games, I designed all game assets—including splash screens, sprites, maps, and character adaptations, ensuring each element aligned with the platform’s educational goals.
In addition to asset design, I created 2D video animations that played a key role in delivering engaging and culturally rich content. These videos helped maintain students’ attention and complemented the platform’s interactive features.
After Wingaru.com.au was successfully launched, I contributed to the promotional efforts by designing ads, flyers, posters, and social media posts, helping to boost the platform’s visibility and outreach.
This role allowed me to merge my expertise in design, character development, and marketing to help bring this culturally significant educational platform to life.
